The Ember Workshop Series is an in-person, accountability-driven program for small business owners in the City of Warren who have been operating for 2+ years.

Ember is designed to help you:

• Build structure, discipline, and practical skills
• Follow a no-excuses framework that requires full participation
• Apply what you learn directly to your business
• Strengthen your foundation before taking on advanced strategies

Ember also supports local economic growth by:

• Helping small businesses create jobs
• Increasing local spending
• Building a stronger, more resilient business community

The program is backed by the City of Warren and supported by local partners.

Have questions about the Ember Business Workshop?

Here’s what you need to know before applying.

Who can apply?

We’re looking for business owners with real-world experience who meet the following:

• Own a business that has been operating for 2+ years
• Have a business registered and in good standing with the Ohio Secretary of State
• Are ready to commit fully—attending all sessions, completing assignments, and actively participating program

When does the Ember Workshop start?

The first cohort begins on May 31, 2025. Space is limited—apply now to secure your spot.

What is the time commitment?

Ember runs for six weeks, with in-person sessions held every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Is there a fee?

Yes. There is a one-time $25 administrative fee. This helps cover materials, tools, and refreshments provided during the program. It also reflects a shared investment in creating a focused, well-supported learning environment.

How are applicants selected?

Applications are reviewed by a selection committee. All applicants will be notified by email, whether or not they are selected for the program.

Where will the sessions take place?

All sessions will be held in person in downtown, Warren Ohio. Full location details will be shared with selected participants.
